From November 28th to 29th, librarian information attainment competition of Guizhou universities and colleges was held at Guizhou University of Finance and Economics. The competition attracted 17 teams representing various universities and colleges of Guizhou province, among which Liupanshui Normal University was represented by four librarians, whose names were respectively Dingke, Yu Chengbin, Yuancong and Luo Shengmei. After several rounds of stiff competition, they won the first prize.
Sponsored by the Library Guiding Committee of Guizhou Universities and Colleges, and undertaken by library of Guizhou University of Finance and Economics, the competition aims to improve librarian’s information attainment, develop information awareness, skills as well as information-sharing ability to further popularize library resources and services.
The competition consisted of 3 stages. In the first stage, competition questions are randomly selected and contestants are required to design and report on their courseware based on what they have selected. To enter the finals, contestants then need to compete in a knowledge quiz. Fortunately, the four librarians of LNU got a first in the first two stages and reached the final smoothly. And they eventually won the first prize in the grand final with their novel answers, quick responses and rigorous way of logic. Additionally, LNU library also won the best organization award for their remarkable performance.
The competition was successfully held, which further deepens librarians’ awareness of information learning, promotes their information ability and lays a solid foundation for the future innovations and services of library. Congratulations to them!
